Lean Management

What is ‘Lean’?

The ‘Goal’ of a business is to make money. This is not to be done by changing one measurement in isolation. The goal is to reduce operational expenses AND reduce inventories AND increase throughput simultaneously. Simply put, reducing the waste.

There is a lot of training / literature in the market place that deals with ‘Lean’. Most of this is severely manufacturing biased and littered with ‘buzz words’ that make the whole subject sound complicated. The aim of this workshop is to debunk this subject and apply the subject to all areas of the business, eg:- sales, marketing, finance, operations, facilities etc.

Proactively cut the waste out of your business

During the growth of a business, many system fixes are put in place to deal with problems that arise. Many of the reasons for these fixes have long since gone but our systems are littered with this waste. This workshop will help you to:

  • Learn ‘Lean’ techniques
  • Identify waste within your business
  • Inventory, transport, motion, extra processing, systems, team issues, defects, over production, cash flow, waiting, lack of KPI’s, personal interferences
  • Learn to match the solutions to reduce waste with the practical ‘lean’ techniques

Practical interactive workshop

Unlike most workshops this one is not theory based but applied to your business in a highly interactive style. This workshop will help you to:

  • Evaluate the cost of the waste identified
  • Write a four week plan for each attendee to action
  • Subsequent workshops will review actions from previous workshop via individual accountability

Who should attend?

Anyone who wants to reduce waste in their organisation. The workshops are ideal for all members of a team.
