How Team Results Help

From our research, personal experience and work with business owners the small to medium transition is the most fundamental. It is not recognized or indeed openly spoken about. It is a major potential driver of employment and economic growth yet it is largly ignored. These businesses are seen by their peers and by professional advisors as successful but this out of balance can have major impact on the long term health of the business and owner.

Often the business owner recognizes the challenge ahead but with no clear help they try to battle through and often give up the fight and return to the small business comfort zone, never achieving their true potential or desire. The business has outgrown the business owner who perhaps now is risk adverse and who also need to protect their ego and reputation. The business is often destined for a long and slow decline. As Marshall Goldsmith so succinctly puts it ‘ What Got You Here Won’t Get You There’.

Team Results focuses on this forgotten group and have revitalized countless companies and helped business owners regain equilibrium and transition to a balanced medium sized company.

Interestingly, some medium businesses continue to struggle out of balance but then many of the inefficiencies can be offset by positive cash-flow and a favourable market niche. However, the business’s full potential is rarely achieved.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of people/ organisations who want to offer advice to Business Owners. Often from redundant corporate employees, retired bankers, life coaches, accountants, Uncle Tom Cobley and all! It is very easy to feign empathy with the needs of a business owner but to understand the transition it is imperative that you have experienced it.

At Team Results we have been there and done it.

We undertsand that a business owner facing the transition to Medium Size is looking up the mountain whereas most advisors are looking down the mountain at the transition. The aspect is totally different. Team Results is there to be the guide up through the transition. (A little prosaic but hopefully shows the difference).
